Right then, I had a problem with my car missing yesterday and so i sorted it today by changing the plugs leads and dizzy cap. But now for some reason the power feels as flat as a witches tit. I have been told the carb needs setting up - is this a easy job - i dont wanna do it myself if i am gonna F**k it up more. (By the way its a 1.3 sr)

U didn't get any of the leads mixed up did u or something simple like that? Also r the plugs OK? If the carb was OK until recently it is more likely that something else is wrong. When I took mine to the rolling road it was down on power cos one lead wasn't connecting properly to the plug and the distributor was out a few degrees.

erm to set up the crab you need a gas tester ie a few grand. or go to a garage and they will charge you from ?10 to ?30 to set it up sweet as.

I'd say it sounds like ur timing is out m8, the fuel/air mixture wouldnt make that much difference!
Make a line across the dizzy, and the part of ur engine right night to it!
Loosen the 13mm bolt holding the clamp for the dizzy, then get a hammer something like a big flat screwdriver and tap it arounf slightly, looking at the end of the dizzy id go clockwise a little 1st, and if it doesnt help try it the other way! If u cant get it running sweet then put it back to the line u made and leave it for a profesional!!!
