Just downloaded the final release version today - it's very good.

Firefox style tabbed browsing, only better - with a Ctrl+Q shortcut that displays a thumbnail screen with all your tabs on it so you can quickly pick which page you want to look at. There is a small "extra" tab on the end too, which when clicked opens up a new tab for you.

You can customise the default search engine you want to use, so when using the quick search box on the browser, or typing in "xxx porn" into the address bar it will search for it with your preferred engine, rather than Microsoft.

The print functions have been greatly improved, with fit page with options and turn on/off header information etc all easily done, so no more page numbers and URL's if you dont want them, and no more cropping the right hand side of your print-outs on wide aspect websites either.

The navigation and options buttons are a much lower profile than previously, so more space for content and less space taken up by buttons.

Built in RSS support too, which is nice.

Hmm, might have to give that a looksee. I've grown used to Firefox - mostly additional features I've bolted onto it - but its got a habit of eating up all my RAM making the machine grind to a halt.

A mate of mine had a beta version which he wasn't too impressed with, so I'm guessing they've made some improvements in the final one. Wonder if it'll install on a version of XP with a *cough* shady serial number... :p

it does check before you install it to ensure you're legit ... fortunately our out-sourced IT guy is honest.

I had to download it, because it'll be added to the auto-update in a few weeks, and need to ensure my intranet system works on it before everyone comes crying all at once and the business falls apart lol seems ok so far though.

There is a funky option when you install to have it make text easier to read, which applies to IE and outlook too... adds better anti-alias' to the lettering and it is much more eye-friendly than previously.

If you like firefox you should like this, i never bothered with bolt-ons in firefox, only used it for development purposes to ensure compatability etc. There are add-ons available for this though, because there is an add-on management part to it :D

i dont think it will, not at the moment anyway. I'm sure i read somewhere that the initial release is an XP only thing.
