View Full Version : Where to find this part! impossible! (E/C16se)

I need the rubber induction pipe that goes from the airbox to the inlet manifold/throttle body housing.

Vauxhall dont stock/produce the part anymore and i cant find one anywhere does anyone know where i could find one?! :confused:

Best bet is put up a wanted ad. Ive sold a couple recently but dont think Ive got anymore.

The other option is to see what you can find at a scrapyard that might fit. You will have to araldite the breather fitting into another one though. Nothing major.

I can get one as I know where there's a GTE sat in a scrap yard that hardly anyone goes too

auto vaux can get these brand spanking most of the time when vauxhall say they carnt get it its probley becuase they dont want to autovaux have got me loads of things vaux say are discontinued

Also you could be extremely lucky and find one down your local scrappy?

Go down the scrappy and look through everycar till you find a hose off an escort or something that fits, i'll guarantee something will fit.

I actually got one from a vauxhall dealer not that long ago, the bloke spent ages looking up numbers for me and then stuck them on backorder.
maybe I was lucky

Awesome help cheers guys, how can i get in touch with auto vaux???

Dont want to get a old one or bodge one from another car, surely they cant be hard to find!? do any other vauxhall ones look similar? like cavalier ones? as they would be able to be ordered by vauxhall still surely

its unique to the E16SE unless you want to mod it etc. They are hard to come by though as they will nearly all be perished by now.

Best bet is to get it on back order & play the waiting game. Costs ?32 IIRC from a dealer.

I bought one a few yrs back.

Just thought of another source too. Courtenay keep them & airboxes when they turbo GSi's. Well I never got mine back anyhow.
