How do you remove the door on a nova?

u need a hinge pin tool
i just bought one froma shop for ?16

expensive but i have had to use ona about 8 times over the years so i really needed one

basicaly the pin tool goes down the center of the door pin

then the pin tool bar is pushed over and knocked with a hammerto drive the pin out
the bottom pin needs to be knocked upwards and the top pin downwards.

more than likley there be siezed in so give them a good soak with wd40 a week b4 hand.

later model year 92> cars had corsa style pins if you take the pins out you should refit the door with the later style pins

the check strap desigh is slighly diffrent ans the mk1s have a rivit wheres the mk2 have this daft pin thing.

not sure what advantage the later style hinge pins would give though... ste??

they are longer and one end is flaired and this aids removal if you need to get them out again

hmmmm I got a mk2 door,and visibly,its the same door as in my F-reg mk1,the pins were different,but the brackets are the same,so if I got it waxoyled,sprayed up n have my old cards n handles added,surely noone will tell the diference? :-/
