I have 12,000 leaflets and I have 10 sites to distribute them too.
6 sites need to have an average amount.
3 sites need to have double the average amount.
1 site needs to have half the average amount.
Can anyone work out how many each site will need.
I'm going to email my boss and make out that I counted out each pile of leaflets for each site.
The sites that need the average amount need 960 leaflets each
The sites that need double the average need 1920 each
The site needing half the average need 480
Total 12000

Thanks... saves making my brain ache any more today. :D
if it takes 3 men with teaspoons 4 hours to fill a standard size bath with water, how long would it take for 7 men to do it?
no need, it is already full
if it takes 4 men 2 hours to dig a hole..how long does it take them to dig half a hole?
we charge an 8 hour minimum
if it takes a man 2 hours to dig a hole, it takes three men 4 hours to dig the same size hole, cos they talk & faf about
How many MOD staff does it take to fix a UNIX server... :D
do you mean How many does it really take? or how many they think it should take?

I know you've already had the answer, but i thought i'd explain how you need to work it out so you can do it quickly, for yourself, next time.
Add up the total amount of average deliveries required.
Six average + Three Double + One Half
6 + (3 x 2) + 0.5 = 12.5
Divide the total number of leaflets by 12.5.
12000 / 12.5 = 960
960 is your average, and from there its easy to figure out the double and half.
Like i always say - Sums Rock!!!
