i have just stuck a 2 litre cavalier engine in my sri nova, its fast as fu*k but the front arches rub. it was already lowered by 60mm - whats the best thing to do so they stop rubbing ? it has 185x55 rubber with standard sri shocks. cheers :)

what size alloys u got?? try 45's?? I want 2 do that 2 mine Was it hard?? what about drive shafts?? did u seam weld the engine bay

Get some up rated shocks like koni or avo or get some courtney springs made for the 2ltr conversion

185/55 tyres are not far off 195/45 tyres in width anyways

best to gently flare the front arches out with a block ov wood and a cheap scisssor jack under the arch

u can get 10mm out ov each front arch without to much trouble

Yep the front arches can be persuaded outwards fairly easily, use flexible piece of ply wood and jack like micky said. Sure the tyres aren't catching the anti roll bar?

I have a 60mm kit with 195/45 16" with my 2.0 16v with the bumpstops cut in half with no arch probs on the front or rear so i'd say your shocks are knackered

camber modded 7mm
jamex bumpstops (1/2 orignal size)
16" speedline 2 wheels 49mm offset
195/45 16" mich tyres
