Hi

I have got a 1.3sr with a weber 32/34 carb on.

Could i use a gte fuel tank with the internal fuel pump instead of the mechnical one (i would get a blanking plate made)?

Would it provide the fuel at too higher pressure?

I was thinking about doing this because the fuel pump could be cut off by an imboliser.

I hope you can understand what im trying to ask i confuse myself sometimes.

cheers

Youve got the same question as me i too have a 32/34 and i want to put a electric fuel pump on my car- cos it uses more than it receives. i might just but a facet one though.

Nah, dont bother, the pressure would fuck it up and u dont really ahve anyway of fitting a return pipe that would handle it, if u fitted a pump u would need a new tank with swirl pot, new fuel lines, and a shit load of hassle! U'd be lookin at well over ?100 or more!

Cant u get a fuel valve that can be imobilised from a standard fuel connection?

Standard fuel pump produces about 6/7 psi, your carb needs about 1.5ish. I`m running twin 40`s on std mechanical pump with no problems.
