After having a great weekend at santa pod and the nova behaving and returning about 30 mpg, i was quite happy. Then gets up very early this morning for work i get about 600 yards down the road and my car cuts out on me:confused::cry:. But turns out its just the dizzy cap theres no spark plus after i changed the ignition module theres still no spark. Sods law working in its full brilliance:tard: this is my first nova so do these dizzy caps go quite alot on novas

They don't 'go' very often on mine, but I change the dizzy cap and rotor arm every few services anyway.

they shouldn't just go on you !
Dangermouse
my old 1.2 had a habbit of eating rotor arms and subequently dizzy caps.
in the end i got GM parts and it was pretty much fine for ages (read that as 2 years lol)
Probably coil.
Edit- Are you getting a spark from the coil?
Just not from the dizzy?

Go to a scrappy and get one cheaper than ?100.
Maybe the pindrive on the dizzy.
Remove it and see if the pin that goes into the end of the cam is still on.
