HELP ME PLSE IVE BODGED IT!!!!

Ive put a GTE front bumper on my car and there is a gap between the lights and bumper of about an inch its a GTE one onto a mk1 and i was wondering how i could fill in the long gap. i was thinking pos a grill with the browls at the bottom has any one else had this problem? how can i fix it HELP me Plse I want to sort it this Sunday :D

u sure its a GTE bumper? Ive got one on mine, and it fitted perfectly - no gaps at all. Have u bolted it up properly, with the 2 bolts either side in the right place? Is the carrage bar (metal bit inside the bumper) correctly located?

check the bumper iron isn't upside down. Just a guess.

my SR(same as GTE only unpainted)fitted perfectly,I would try the bumper iron,n make sure ALL the bolts are in place

GTe bumpers and sr bumpers r dif mate I think.

Mk1 Gte bumpers are the same as the late mk1 Sr bumpers, only that the gte ones are body colour, the early mk1 sr bumpers were the dodgy grille and bumper joined with lower skirt

SR and GTE bumpers are very similar they aint they same.

does it sit square on the wings and is it level on both wings?? cause it sounds like u aint positioned it right it really shouldnt move even without the bolts on.
take it off and try again makeing sure its secure and the clips are intact and the bumpers in the rite place etc before bolting it up.
if anything dont loook rite post again saying what u think is broke :D it should be a straight swap tho

Late SR and GTe Bumpers are the same "visually" apart from the colour coding!!!

Don't know what you've done wrong, should fit. Anyway l have a H reg 1.4sr and the front bumper looks a little boring, any ideas how to liven it up?
