Have you got any pics of you converting the car to rear engine. Im quite interested in how to do it. What problems did you come across?

lol u supliyin the engine as well...
the hole you cut out ofthe floor.. what ya done about tht?
imite be interested.. price is abit steep tho..
Youve still not given any indication of how it handles. Yeah, its good for doughnutting, but whats it like to actually drive?
thats mad, ya got a bit close to those cars though, lol

hndles pretty well mate, just dont feel like a nova, it does understeer if you plant for foot down at low revs.
i think 3000 is quite cheap mate considering its like 3+ months work non-stop and the hole in the boot has an engine in now lol.

doherty same reply as novalious ?3000 you supply the engine
dude put building instructions up!
interested to know the following: why the engine that way round?
surely the rear struts will in time break that weld to the inner arch?
what brakes have u used? still got the small engine in the front for eco friendly driving in town>

when are you going to reading cruise again? i will pop down if you let me know when you go and have a butchers at the car. havent been for ages so would make a change for a sunday night and seing a rwd nova will be a 1st for me:thumb:

yeah would love to go to the meet in it was ment to be going to the pod on sunday but something came up so i couldnt. the engine sits that way mate because if it was the other way round there would be 5 gears in reverse and 1 forward. lol about the rear struts well mine havnt yet been boxed cos im waiting for the box section to arrive can asure you that welding them there with box underneth they will not snap.
could u have have done a dogged legged box? where 1st was back? sweet looking car dude! what was the hardest thing to sort?
so what happen if someone ploughs in the rear of u? guessing that thats the fuel tank in the rear?... maybe build a safety bar?
wheres the rad located?
novaboyopr
18-10-06, 04:25 PM
the rad is in the front. will be putting in a spare wheel or mabey a bottle of nos. the hardest thing was probley getting the first bar in place, the engine was also a bit of a c**t to fit cos of the boot but once we worked it out it was pretty easy if you can call it tha.
so what did you do, extended the throttle & clutch cables or use super long items???
Along with rad hoses & pipping etc?
What about the exhaust lol where does that go
awesome project tho!
What about the exhaust lol where does that go
awesome project tho!
take the centre section out, so your exhaust system is only about 3 foot long lol and fabricate a down pipe to the back box
novaboyopr

hi mate. the exhaust is less then 3 foot long its f ing loud. if anyone wants one done or would be intrested in buying this one im open to offers
that from reading ?? saw that car looks tidy well done as well

yeah mate it was at reading months ago has been off the road for a bit while i did my 310bhp turbo lump but now its back on the road coming to pv 07 oh and it is for sale!!!
very nice mate! stunning build, the gear linkage looked a feat on engineering! top job.... makes me feel another project comeing on lol
im living in Reading atm, where was this meet then? i see lots of cars shoot down to Toys'r'us, hobbycraft, etc carparks, or its it further out?
Ash
Love the car mate bet its awesome to drive! where'd you fit the fuel tank?
How much you considering selling it for?
How much you considering selling it for?
amen, if your not selling untill after PV i could start saving now lol
novaboyopr
31-12-06, 02:01 PM
draper-midlands better get the piggy bank out then, on sale at pv 07!!!
yeah it was at the mcdonalds car park earlier this year, but that was the only time i did anything in it.
the fuel tank is in the boot behind the engine. did consider putting it in the front for wieght resons but it was easyier to fit in the boot + it was the last thing to do before the first drive, and i think u all know how that feels u just what to get out in it.

You got an MOT like this? Please tell me which station you go to as cars I have had tested in the past have failed on low effort nevermind NO effort.
Also fuel line should be of a certain standard, and this looks like crappy rubber pipe
