Which K&N should I fit to a Weber 32/34 DMTL?
I'm not using the carb-to-airbox adapter, so don't want a K&N to fit a 2E3, so which do I ask for?
I understand that the DMTL was standard fitment on the XR2 (language!), so will a K&N designed for one of those fit straight on ok?
At the mo, I've got a K&N that I modded to fit, but it's too fking huge, and rubs the bonnet...making a nice little bonnet bulge!
An alternative is to fit a thinner carb-to-manifold gasket, as the one on is about 8mm thick. Can I use normal gasket paper to make a really thin gasket for this job? If so, the carb will sit lower, and I can use the huge K&N I've got.
The other idea is to add a bonnet vent, making loads of spare clearance, with a shutter across to stop air-flow in winter, to prevent carb-freezing, that I can take off in summer.
Ideas?
