My GF seems to htink she is ganna have a go in my sr, somehow i think....big open space maybe she can, but some car parks have curbs everywhere, in that case NO!

Then again i did rag her fiesta in a car park last night, handbrake turns, wheelspins etc.....she didnt seem to pleased, but i told her i get discount tyres so we ok now.

See I don't know why Jack won't let me try in his car in a big field!! It is supposed to be a rally car! I would probably get scared though. Little bit different to my car

Yes but neither you or I are rally drivers... and I don't fancy breaking my new wheels. Or you putting the car in a ditch. And you're not insured either.

soon after getting the vx the gf and i went for a drive, her at the helm. i was uber nervous. then the day i got my new tv and mp i was busy playing with that lot and she caught me off guard and got the vx by herself... in the rain... with low tread rear tyres. meh its insured... she was gone ages but i wasnt going to call her lol. on her return she said that it was fun, it did step out on her but its such a well behaved car it came back again and that some boys looked at her lol.

some women "can" keep yoru car safe ;)

I'm lucky - my wife hates my nova and refused to get in it when it was running.

I get to play in her cars though (Volvo S40 sport and new Audi A3 company car)

I'm quite a clumsy driver. I've 'knocked off' the exhaust from my dad's van when I was a bit younger, broken off the wing mirror of my boyfriends Nova, dented the door in his other car. You can trust me though- I have a perfectly innocent excuse for each one, no lie! :)

1st instance of bad gf driving.

I slipped over once when approaching my car to drive home (it was Icey) twisted my ankle pretty bad so the gf said she'd drive the old SR home.

We had had a lot of snow fall and there was ice everywhere... i was extremely nervous.

We got 10m from the penthouse suite and a car approaching us 20m away skidded and hit a lamp post. She **** herself and jammed the brakes on which sent us into a spin in the middle of the road. We turned about 60 degrees and came to a stop. She just sat there and I calmly said... "shall I park then" lol

2nd instance....

Pouring rain... too much speed in a Tesco car park on a sunday night.
She lost control and we ended up parked on top of a curb. We hit it straight on and it buckled both front SR alloys.

Funnily enough she wont be driving the GTE when its finished.... ever!

I think tbh, if you're sat there, with you're gf behind the wheel, and she knows you're poo-ing yourself then that's not gonna help her situation. Or if you're telling her...."NO NO WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" "STOP STOP STOP STOP" Then that just makes them more anxious, and therefore more likely to go wrong.
There was one time when Jack took me out, after like my first lesson, I still had no clue, was coming up to turn into my road. I would have slowed down, but Jack was there going "STOP STOP STOP" and put my handbreak on!!!
I was like.....WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!
If you'd let me get on with I may have done it....if we hadn't then we would have gone into a ditch before the hedge ;)lol

I gave my Gf(who has a 1.2Corsa) a shot of my Cav turbo, only for about 1 and a half miles, never again! I was nervous enough, i told her to slow down a bit and look at the speedo, she was doing about 120! Then she ended up bricking it when she realized she was going twice the speed she thought she was! Dunno if i will ever let her loose with a V6 Nova!

NEVER EVER, the only people that are gonna drive my car is family and work! One of my mates got his missus insured and shes bascially stolen the car, he pays for it but don't use it, HELL NO! and no i'd never let my gf anywhere near the drivers seat!! lol

 If I say STOP that means STOP, not keep going and aim for the ditch! If I hadn't stopped the car you'd have ended up in a hedge.

Lest we forget the time I said to stop then held my tongue when you were turning your car round and you reversed straight into the fence ;)

Well im of a completely different approach!

I let my misses drive my Integra Type R DC5 and she scared the absolute pap out of me!!

Down a few lanes on the way home from her mothers! She was ****ing screaming along, apexing properly and generally making ****ing good progress with serious pace!! I was thinking it was down to the cars fantastic ability with a well sorted chassis, LSD and awesome Brembo brakes until she started heel and toe'ing

she neglected to tell me she had a race liscence and use to race caterhams on a weekend!!!!

Impressed me big time!! I can still show her up though lol!!

well i let my gf have ago in the metro gti the other day and she **** the life out of me too! she has a 1.1 metro which she learning to drive in so i thought it would be ok to let her have ago in my one! (same size and all that) so at 95mph in 4th gear i told her she should start to slow down now because we dont wanna crash and she just put it in 5th and booted it again while giggling like a school girl! then proceeded to tell me im not going to sell the metro as she wants it when she has a years no claims and that i need a bigger exhaust but the induction kit sounds nice! this was coming from a girl who hates all my cars and moans when we go to cruises or anything to do with cars! i was in shock so i just said "ok then love whatever you want"lol

bye bye license lol

I let Alex help wash the Celica on sunday, does that count? lol

16-10-06, 09:55 AM
Does it count when my step mum commendeered the nova when it had a dodgy head gasket. I was waiting in the house for ages and when she finnaly returned i was tottaly releived only to find the whole head was completely up the swanny. I wasnt keep on the idea in the first place may i ad. then i had to drive it the 50 miles home stopping every few miles to put water in it, (which all ended up in the ****ing exhaust). And cutting out everytime the revs dropped:cry: one pricy repair bill later we all hunky dory

Stuart

jack in all honsety if your pulling handbrakes on when you want to stop then your a prize bellend...... ffs havent people played enough GT/Forza to know that when you hoof the handbrake on the car tends to go a tad barmy....

Yes the my wench is a scary driver at times but to be honest i scare her too (but then again im doing it properly not tailgating people lol) but letting her out on her own in mine was probably better, esp on a wet day with slick rears lol

once ive got my engine mounts sorted ill be going on a driver training day, and more than likely getting her to come along too so she knows how to drive on the limit safely.

Jack
16-10-06, 10:57 AM
Well if its a case of handbrake and stop (which it did, if the car was going fast obviuosly I wouldn't have touched the handbrake) or hedge and ditch I know which I'd prefer :p

Stuart
16-10-06, 11:02 AM
how about say "brake... you know the middle pedal" lol
