what is the easiest way to separate the glass from the rest of the head light, and also on the front indicators too. need to separate them but also need to be able to re use the bits.

cheers in advance anyone :D

boil the kettle and pour it round where the headlight glass joins the frame this should warm up the glue and you should be able to just pull them apart

The indicators are plastic welded together - similar to the rear lights - theyre a barsteward to separate (I've tried).

If you can be anussed - a dremmell with a cutting tool might work

Watch the stanley knife approach - did this too and almost took my finger off! Wear thick leather gloves (weders ones) in case!

Think a few people have tried this, its pretty difficult to get the headlight glass off as that sealant stuff is tough (15 minutes in a 180'c oven didn't even weaken mine, just made one very hot headlight unit!)... tbh I'd make sure you have a spare unit on hand just in case anything goes TU!
