is it possible to take the modified driveshafts out of a 2.0L 8V nova and put them in a 2.0L16V nova? are they just the same size?

Yes they are the same, the 2.0 8v and 2.0 16 conversions can use an f16 or F20 gearbox, the inner CV's are the same for both. It,s basically the same engine with a 16v head.

make sure you get the hubs if the shafts have astra outers

Good point ste, the heavy duty shafts use astra outer joints and modified astra hubs, I think the stearing knuckle may also be slightly modded to clear the CV? so it would be best to get shafts, hubs and posibly stearing knuckles if it has the HD shafts.

no modded steering knuckles on mine just modded flanges with nova bearings

why use astra outer CV joints? why not just keep the nova ones ? or is it because the astra ones are stronger ?

Yes on competition cars and 2.0 turbos they use 2.0 outers as they are thicker and stronger.

astra outer means the shaft doesn't get thinner near the end
