i had exactly the same question - its funny, one smart bastid comes up with an idea, it gets published in TV, and everyone wants something different then a C20LET lol.

plus - i always wanted to know if it was possible to shove the 2.5 V6 from the calibra into the nova? iv seen it done on corsa's.. and i know the set ups are almost identical.. but iv never seen a V6 nova in the flesh. has it been done?

Didnt realise the new tv was out yet? ive been looking at this for a while now and as im having a fresh start on a new project i though it was best to have a go at it now!

for me its a relatively cheap way of gainin power as ive been offered a set 4 cheap:)

As for the v6 question start a new thread:thumb:

contact bogg bros... its not "that" cheap compared to webers when you total up all the costs but hey hoe

Cheers stuart will do in the morning! I no that there will be hidden costs to the conversion as with most modifications but my mates are saying the old "you'll never do it" so im making a distinct effort now !

Id like to add they said the same thing before i put my xe in toolol

The carbs you want are '99 ones as they are carbs no TB's.

Bogg Bros will do it for you but it will mean you treking your car all the car up to the North Yorkshire Moors.

Alternatively you could get a local engineering shop to make you up an inlet manifold, get the carbs sorted yourself and bolt it all together at home. Then you just need to learn how to jet them correctly or go to a bike workshop and get them to do it. IMO it can be done for ?300 fitted and setup

you can fit these carbs = zx9 kawasaki, honda blackbird, honda fireblade, kawasaki zzr1100 theres a guy on ebay called ds spares doing a set of zx9 ones for ?50 thats a bargain just check with bogg bros to make sure also a ignition setup will cost you ?245 delivered from h+h ignition solutions thats bolt on and drive away no messing about finding knacked dizzys from the scrappy , i,m doing the same conversion at the moment so all the prices are recent

i,ll take one as well ,the only other option is an ecu so i,m told unless anybody can shed some light on how to go about setting up for carbs

either a cav dizzy/coil setup OR get ign mappable engien management... using something like megasquirt as an ign only driver you can do it fairly cheaply

The cav ignition setup is not going to be ideal either, unless you get it ignition advance curve etc changed for the xe.

If you want bike carbs on your motor, get carbs that came off a 1000cc or above, anything less doesnt match up.
