I have a broken window winder/regulator (the bit the handle goes onto thats pop riveted to the door) on my 5 door Nova. It is different to a 3 doors one as the window is moved up and down by a cable as oppsed to the scissor action/arm one of the 3 door. Does anyone know if any other 5 door vauxhalls use a similar system? I have tried a similar unit from a mk 2 astra but the cable is slightly the wrong length and it has already started to bind up. Does anyone know if a Corsa item might work? A replacement part is about 70 quid (according to the garage) which is roughly a quarter of the value of the car. Blatantly im not going to spend that sort of money. The local breakers yards are useless and Im really at my wit end with this.
This is a shot in the dark as most of you guys will be more familiar with 3 doors, but maybe someone has experience of these ****ty 5 door dustbins.
