1.2/1.3 Head swap worth?

Its gonna be a while before I can afford to do my turbo job and am getting a little bored.

Is it worth me cleaning up a 1.2 head and fitting it to my 1.3 in the mean time?

Surly its woth it to have a nice clean head to make things a bit smoother but will the higher compression alone make any difference?

Anything else I need to do or can I just swap it for my 1.3 head?

May to a little porting matching and cleaning of pistons etc while i'm at it?

unless it has had some porting done, I don't think the head is any different.

as above. 99% the same head unless its been ported

Do you know if porting would change that or would I just as well be porting a 1.3 head?

Would skimming it be worth it for exta compression?

1200 head has higher compression iirc.
Apart from that, there the same.

its marginal differences...

youd notice more "gain" from relapping the valves to be honest
