Will 17's fit my nova?

I have a mk2 Nova and was wondering if 17's will fit on my car. I have grinded my back arches right up to the spot welds and the car has been lowered 35mm. Some people have told me they should fit no probs but others say they will still rub.Do I need to grind past the spot welds and re weld?:-/ I intend to get et45 wheels with 205/40 tyres. Any help appreciated.

you need flat/no/zero arches for 17" wheels

You`ll probably have to push them out at the back and reshape the fronts. Whoever said they`ll fit `no-probs` was talking out of his arse!

ermm im sure i wrote a guide to stop all this "will my wheels fit if i bother to try em on the car" crap.
