temp gauge dosent move why!!!!!

hi, my temp gauage dosent move when car is warm aint quiet sure if the fan comes on anybody no wat this could be

thermostat might be seized open, or the guage or sender is shot.

Do the heaters get warm?

if it is a carb model, the heater sender is also the bleed point for the cooling system, if there is air in the system, it collects by the sender, causing it to read cold. could be head gasket. when you stop the engine, do you hear 'glugging' from in the engine?
