Right engine currently is a 1300sr with skimmed ported polished and gas flowed head, kent fast road cam, straight thru performance exhaust system, filter.

Wat sort of power will it produce after adding a single weber 32/34 twin choke carb with K&N bolt on filter and a 4-1 ashley exhaust manifold?

Any rough ideas at all?

Any more ideas for adding more power for faster acceleration?

Except t40's

The carb wont actually add much power, at all tbh.
Just smoother running, slight better performance, and no choke problems.

As its still a twin choke single carb.

Manifold-Its claimed by ashley to be about 3-5ish.

I'd say about 85-90 ish in total.

porting and gas flowing are the same thing btw ;)

why not put t40s on?

Close ratio box+suitable final drive.

Strip the weight out.

why not put t40s on?

Cant aford em, and to set them up etc.

Also cause they a bit more obvious that ive added them on for insurance reasons.

If i drop a GTE engine in, can i put my 1300sr head on the 1600 block? with my cam, will this therefore make it a carb and not injection, or am i better off keeping it injection?

i thought you could just put carbs on an injection system? its what my dad did with his ford sierra swapped the injection system for a pair of 40's

yeh u can, but i was just wanering if i could put my 1300 head etc on the 1600 block.

You could, but not sure where it would leave compression.

And, a standard 1600 out is as good/better than a ported 1300 head.
So you've be down on power compared to a standard gte.

So its best to leave the GTE engine how it is then yeh? rather than put my 1.3 head on it.

Yep.
You could fit your cam to the gte engine..

yeh i remember sum1 sayin that to me, so ill do that

ill also get my work to modify the exhaust to fit the gte engine.

How much does it cost to get GTE engine chipped or re-mapped wateva it is ?

The exhaust will fit the gte engine.

You can buy a "superchip" for a gte ecu.
You can't remap the standard ecu.

Oh right will it!?

How much of a difference will the superchip add?

Wat else could i get done to improve GTE power?

No idea about the superchip, probably hardly anything, Lol.

For more power-

Twin 40s

OR mappable management.

Well im startin to think about selling this nova, and starting on a mate of mines nova in cuple months time, drop a GTE engine into that as its a 1.2i lol, but its got a decent shell with recent respray and smart interior etc...TOP CONDITION ONE, great place to start!
