View Full Version : Which Manifold(exhaust)

Right, im after a 4 branch manifold for my exhaust system.

Just wandering which manufacturer to go with.

Engine as it stands is a 1300cc SR, it has a kent fast road cam, head has been skimmed, ported polished and gas flowed. Full straight through custom exhaust system and will soon have a single weber 32/34 carb with bolt on air filter.

Ive heard Ashley are sposed to be good, any help is much appreciated.

Should i get a 4-2-1 or a 4-1 ?

Car is used for everyday road use!

Just don't get a sportex one! I got one, its poor quality, welds block half the exhaust ports flow and its about 1mm from touching the sump.

Ive been recommended to get an ashley one, about 2 weeks too late.

im only saying because ur have more chance of help... im looking for a manifold at the moment for my 1600 GSI, there are a few on "tinternet", ebay well over priced imo. be interested to see your feedback.

Not true in all cases!

Did you send it back then?

I've just fitted a sportex manifold to my GTE and although it is fairly close to the sump its a lot more than 1mm. If the welds are blocking the flow then its a manufacturers fault.
