different style mounts, much easier to use the c20let, plus a c20let will be about half the price to buy

would of thought the wiring on c20let would be easier aswell?

yeah you will need the key fob because of the p.a.t.s system. without this it wont read the signal from crank sensor etc. its the same when vvc'ing a metro only you can get any keyfob reprogrammed with a rover i dont know if its the same for vauxhall tho.dont hold me to it,also the mounts are totally different and you may have some clearance issues using a zlet rather than a c20let.it would be a worthy project tho costly but well worth a bash in the dark. full write up and pics for the site too.
do courtenay do this conversion or is it still a nova virgin?

A complete vxr package? for a grand? From a reputable breaker? I'd be very, very, very suspicious; Either they're pulling your pi**er, it's way too hot to handle, or it's too good to be true! In which case; Rip thier hand and most of theirforearm off!!!

Ps, the vxr engine doesn't have the engine code z20let. It's z20leh

You would need the accellerator pedal aswell as its fly by wire iirc.
I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that the later engines(Z20 & X20's etc) are a taller engine aswell.

well seeing as people werent sure on XE conversions "back in the day" simply get it, put it in the bay ona engine crane and work out where the mounts need to go ;) simple really

Z-LET runs fly by wire throttle too.

FBW isnt hard to sort to be fair.... fit the pedal, fit the loom for it and hook upto the ecu lol easy peasy
