Haven't really done much recently - last summer I spent all my spare time with the unspeakable one in Cheltenham, and this summer I've been busy with Alex lol. Shame, as there's loads of room in the Celica to put a bike in. So now I'm just fat.

I have an old marin Palisades with some rather seized Manitou forks, and a blinged up Rock Springs.

I ride a mountain bike quite often. But I usually just strap lots of beer to it and ride around my little bro's house, then get pissed and ride back:thumb:
Its known as the beer bike and on the way back its like its supercharged:D

I used to be into trials in a big way when i was about 14, i was ok at it but nothing special, i kinda lost intrest when i passed my test and havent ridden for about 6 years, i am re-teaching myself all the basics at the moment :D

You must ride hard! Ive had my main bike, saracen x-ile 7005 frame for about 6 years and thats been way over 8 ft drops and all it breaks is wheels! I also had a mongoose fuzz pro limited edition but that had no suspension what so ever, so just ended up hurting my wrist's and i once borrowed a santa cruz v15 i think it was and that was just like a bouncy castle!

when i was a tennager, when i lived in weymouth, i used to do alot of dirt biking, around the dorset country side, and everytime, i would break sumit, i loved it, on my raleigh max3, lol, i still have it, but its in pieces in my garage

then when i came back to birmingham, i built a fully custom one-off bmx, scorpion frame, mongoose stem, db chrome handle bars, alloys rims, stunt pegs, custom brakes, etc, fully chrome, fully bling, but im better on a mountain bike than a bmx

my bmx is now for sale!

LOL

Mr-G
05-10-06, 03:06 PM
There is no way i can sell my bike, purely because it owes me to much money .

db_1.2
05-10-06, 03:06 PM

Just getting back into it havig found (most lol) of my ?2000 bike that got stolen three years ago.

Ditto with the legs, bin riding since was a kid, not a massive bloke but rarely get taken down in footy, people tend to bounce off lol

Bex, milk n cheese wont make a massive difference to developing osteoperosis, but if you did enough trials you may get a bit of DJD lol.

With regard to diet and fitness, the things you do between 18 and 24 tend to stay with you for the rest of your life so anyone in my age bracket, get to work!

Timmy
05-10-06, 10:24 PM
Beavy i do like the gaficks on your motor. you know if i dont ride i get really moody and stressed, but much more chill after riding. where was/is you local riding patch

Thanks man they're not to everyones taste but I like em so that the main thing.

Got a fair selection of good ground. Some good jump locations, iford for example is well maintained (if it's still there it's been a while lol) St Catherines Hill near Christchurch is closest for me. New forest is good but very flat. And finally the Purbecks offer loads of hills and adventure but I prefer a route with a lot of obsticles etc rather than a straight xc run.

Having said that I won't be trowing it off anything until I get my rear wheel trued up.

Jack
06-10-06, 12:27 AM
Arne Woods - near Wareham - is quite good, if a little small. Not really sure its suited to trials riding, but I quite often go there on my fs bike

Tazzy
06-10-06, 03:20 AM
all the good riding off road tracks around bham have been ruined by drug taking dole dwelling theifing asbo'd burberry wearing council estate chavs!

theres a decent bmx track in an area called yardley wood here, good for a quick blast, dont know many bmx tracks, but thats been ruined by these little cnuts too!

Timmy
