Make an aluminium chequerplate lid for it like you see on some 'bigger' pickups. And give the poor thing a wash :p.

i was thinking this as its the easy option lol

Fit a rubber seal like the ones you have around the doors.

Hmmmmm

Cut some nova bonnet hinges off the chasis and weld them onto the edge by the back window. Then bolt to a piece of cheque plate. Then fit a lip round the outside edge and cover with door rubber. Finally fix some bonnet pins onto the back. Then you can either fit a bonnet stay and/or bonnet lifters.

that black vinyl type stuff that they have on alot of older pickups
or to be really diffrent build your self a removable truck man top

Another option.

Get your water proof fabric **** or vinyl.
Then buy a eyelet machine (handheld, bit like a pop rivit gun)
Fit eyelets in the material and weld studs with holes in all the way round the back. Then you can use split pins put though the hole after the eyelet is over the top.

ok then, i know what they are, but whats the real name for them?

Go to a boat trimmers, they will have all the stuff you need, will probably even be able to knock one up to exact fit.

Could be interesting finding one bang smack in the middle of the UK.

Baxter, how about eyelets in the fabric and then running elastic around the cover to be streched over studs on the body?

I rekon a canvis of some sort, dont like the cheq plate so much, never have, nova's are slightly oldschool, and you only really see the cheq plates on lifters in new bigger pick-ups, i think a canvis, like mini pick-ups or vw van pick-ups, what about black and white chess board look?!:thumb:

I like the chequer plate lid on 2 bonnet lifters idea - secure it using locking bonnet pins at the corners. Attach the bonnet arms at the corners by the doors, then use bonnet lifters to raise it. Would be much more secure than a vynal cover plus when it rains you wont get a puddle in the middle.

You coule stick a feck off HUGE amp, sub and 6x9's under it so in the summer you can raise the back like a bonnet and have an external sound sytem! Stick some decks or a tv on the drop down back section and have an park entertainment system! Well smart playing an x box on deck chairs out the back of tha Nova pick up!

lol

I agree with Ade.

If you made removable panels holding the "equipment" then you can still use it as a pickup.
