Might have a set of twin 40's on my hands soon, but have been told they need a ''rebuild'' so was wondering what all the size jets are needed, what emolsion tubes etc, also should i be able to get this done at a local garage or will i have to find a specialist? And finally, what price will i be looking at for the rebuild?:thumb:

get a new gasket set from fastroadandrace (ebay shop) for both carbs, also while yoru in contact with them, ask what jets etc you need for a base setup on your iven engine spec.

i refurbed and rejetted my carbs for ?80 + my time....

Cheers for that Stuart, i found somewhere on here the sizes of jets etc, and its for an e16se, the only reason ive been told they need a rebuild is because they have been ''sitting in the shed for a while''.

its always handy to clean the barbs up to make sure all the fuel and air ways are clear etc

there really simple not much to them i was suprised how basic they are i wasnt looking forward to doing mine but it was dead easy ,the hardest thing was taking them off the carlol .once you have have taken the screws off the top lift the top off any you will see the jets etc
