you dont NEED a vernier pully just it makes it easier and better to set up for spot on performance

You can get a good engine tuner to degree the cam instead, this is where they use a degree wheel to see how far out the cam/crank timing is, they then fit special offset pegs in the cam wheel to correct it without the need for a vernier pully. You will need the cam data to give to the tuner :)

Yep you still need a cam, it will have diferent lift and duration than the standard cam, the vernier pulley (or cam degreeing) is just to get it running in the best position but it's not essential. The cam data should come with the cam if you buy a new one, this should help the tuner decide how best to set it up. You could just skip this bit but you could be loosing power, or leave it till you can afford a proper Rolling Road tuning sesion.

I think shrick are good, but not cheap, and don't get full race cam you will lose all the low speed torque.

What should my 0-60 time be with the shrick cam, group A head, 57i, boost valve and a group N chip? What will it take to beat R5's 1.9 Gti's etc?
