1.4 head on E16SE??

what happens when you mate a 1400 head with a E16SE block? does it work and does it give any power gains, or will it be as flat as a fart?

might be a mild "gain" but not enough to offset the general wear and age of engine that looses loads of power anyway lol

the only gain is an incresed CR btw ;) (oh and thats if you use a 1.4mpi head, any others and your losing loads and loads of power lol)

So what sort of gain would there be? Wouldnt it just be worth getting a fair old bit skimmed off the original head?

if its a mpi head you might get 1-2bhp. if its a carb/spi ead then its a NEGATIVE gain

Keep with the E16se head.
Quite a bit of work/cost for realistically no gain.
