think you've got probs mate?! I bought an alarm off colin smith and a couple of central locking motors and a boot solenoid from a scrappy! no instructions or anything. I'm not really sure what to do my dad is studying the haynes manual and geting wires or something. sorry I can't help with your prob but I just needed a proper moan coz I've just wasted ?90 if this doesn't work
cheers

Keith, you don't say whether it's Vaux locking, or aftermarket. From the sounds of wiring it's vaux, as thats the wiring I have on my door motors. You should have the motor with the black/yellow and black/red as the slave motor, and the drivers motor should be brown, brown/red and brown/white, these should then plug into a vaux relay (is this what your calling a switch?)
Let me know if this don't make sense.

Andrew, if you read the haynes, the wiring diagram is very simple to read, thats how I did mine, I got my parts from Colin Smith too, and it worked fine, apart from one dead solenoid, but I got a replacement from maplins.

Ok, well if it's vauxhall setup, you should have 2 door motors as described above, and some big chunky black relay. The relay has 6 pins I think. and is pretty self explainitory. brown/white to brown/white and so on. The black is the earth, the red is the live, and needs to be connected to the same live as the clock. If you want the full pin layout of the relay let me know and I'll get the haynes out.

I think you might need the control unit, which is just to the right of the accelerator pedal it won't work without it. If you have already got it ignore me.
