good to see another project, hoping it gets finished !
if your going for light weight. throw the loom away and make a new one ;)
would you save much weight making your own loom ?? surely itd way pretty much the same - or are you taking the micheal ??
No, he means rip out un-needed wires, i.e. heater etc.
Basically leave the wires to fire up the engine, and work the lights,Lol.
for a start ALL nova looms carry wires for all options (think about it, its cheaper to make one loom in mass numbers than to fanny about with a few) so you can bin a load of wires. plus its old so many places its not letting full voltage through and finally you ca derate the wiring so use thinner stuff and save even more weight....
i was making a loom for the track hoe before giving up (on the car not the loom)
quality, i was making my own loom anyway cuz the old 1 is fcuk'd
(think ....

giving up, are you getting bored with it stu lol
Get the Fiesta outta the way... just leave the Kadette in there with the Nova for some Vaux action... there would be loadsa space and no climbing over a lucozade hill to get to the pc!!
should be a nice car, not many mk1 sr's around now, so it should be a interesting project :thumb:

SRs in that shape & colour are my favourite Novas tbh.
Good luck with the project. You could lose even more weight if you remove the brake bar that is bolted to the bulkhead & fit a corsa B servo & pedal in the battery tray.
Hope it is staying mk1..

Yeah just time and money to get it sorted to the standard i like.
Arches will be repaired with new panels and then blended in by a mate ready for the respray.
Front panel behind front bumper was cleaned up and painte yesterday.
Also i primed the tail gate and delocked and welded and filled the drives door.
Pics to follow later.
More work tonight

Was condition was the front panel in? i never removed front bumper just in case i found a surprise lol
to be fair the brake bar dosent weight "that " much compared to the effor tneeded to fit a corsa b pedal etc.... maybe im jsut lazy lol but better gains can be had for the same ammount of effort
