1.4SRi into 1.2SPi

Ive just got hold of an SRi lump with loom box ECU shafts and everything ill need to fit it into my mk2 spin, i know ill probably need an in tank pump from an MPI astra or something along those lines, but what do i need to do to wire the engine up can the ECU plug into the cars loom in the same place as the 1.2i one does, any other info will be much appreciated cheers ppl!!

What you really need to do is change the entire wiring loom for the SRI version, as the SRI's engine loom is inter-twinned with the main loom.

or get the loom from a astra or corsa 1.4 mpi 8v and use that

ahh yes the astra mk3 and early corsa's have a seperate engine loom, should have remembered that.

yeah bin the SPi loom, otherwise it will cause LOADS of trouble

there's a mk3 astra saloon in red at central motor wreckers off cleeveland St. thats got a C14SE motor in it, I've just had the belt covers off it. It has the seperate engine loom you need.
