The History of the Nova

THE VAUXHALL NOVA MK1 1.3L WAS THE START OF A UNFORGETTABLE EIRE.
THE VAUXHALL NOVA MK1 WAS A GOOD SELLER AND WENT ON TO SELL MILLIONS. THEN THE NOVA MK1 GTE WAS INTRODUCED AND THAT SOLD JUST AS WELL.THE MK1 GSI CAME OUT AND THEN THE 2.0L VERSION THAT WAS A BIG HIT,
THE MK2 NOVA WASNT AS GOOD AS THE MK1 BUT WAS STILL BRILL. THE MK2 WAS BOUGHT BY THE TEENAGERS WHO HAD JUST TURNED 17 AND WAS A SPECTACULAR CAR.THE 1.3L,GTE,GSI,2.0L MK2 NOVAS WHERE A AMAZING HIT WITH VAUXHALL AND MADE APPROXOMATLEY ?90,000 EVRY DAY ON NOVAS FOR THE FIRST FEW MONTHS.
THE MOST POWERFUL NOVA WAS THE MK2 2.0 GTE WHICH WAS A RARE TYPE OF NOVA TO FIND. I AM LOOKING TO BUY ONE TO GO TRACK RACING IN.
VAUXHALL STOPPED PRODUCING THE NOVA IN 1995 ON THE M REG AND BROUGHT OUT THE VAUXHALL CORSA WHICH IS STILL IN MANUFACTURE 2DAY.

No its definately all true cos his mate said that the man from down the road, who walks the next door neighbours daughters dog, who works in the corner shop and sleeps with the guy from mcdonalds mates brother has a mate that works in halfrauds who said it. So it must be true!!!

Ahh well i now know that i really know less than gaskell so i apologise profusely (thinks thats how its spelt) to all parties involved, but was it not the guy who was speaking to the guy from halfruads, sisters, driving instuctors wife`s second cousin who read it in an email wrongly sent to them by an incontinent member of the maxed pooer staffs brothers step-mother who heard it from the talking parrot in the corner shop??? pmsl lol

Even so, I found this hilarious reading at 1:30 in the morning, almost woke the rest of the house up! Almost every line has some sort of error in it!
Mk1 GSi, Mk2 GTE?
2.0 Mk2 GTE litre Novas from the factory?
Complete omission of the existance of the 1.0, 1.2 (possibly the most sold types of Nova) and SR/SRi/sport models?
1995 M plate Novas?
This person needs to sort it the **** out.

Surely a late registration on a car which was built in 1993? Seen L plate vans, but never a M plate car!

This was bought up before when said culpret posted their web site with this info, got a bit of grief then, no need to go on again. Think they have definatly learnt from their mistakes. Love the way people have a go and aren't aware of the facts themselves LOL

and they never made any nova after the last of the K regs for **** sake..

Except for all the ones that were registered on the L plates, and the "mythical" M reg nova's that everyone always knows a mates uncle's cousins nephew who has one.

Also - the nova was officially replaced by the corsa in 1993 - K reg.
I know this because on my in-laws drive there is a 1993 K nova gsi, and a 1993 k corsa 5 door lol

It really is amazing how many people come on here KNOWING that they are right about loads of FACTS about nova's... and then suddenly find out that what they read on some website somewhere once was actually a work of absolute fiction.

Don't know LOL, if i did i wouldn't post them for fear of being wrong and getting people upset and swearing at me lol

And how people can say they never made a 2.0l nova "for **** sake" there are loads on here and they dont look like photoshops to me.:wtf:

i hope you're joking with that last comment - or you're in big trouble! lol

There was this story about Lotus having hold of the nova in the way they did with the Carlton - and a 2.0 8valve on twin carbs etc, but the project got canned because the chassis wasnt up to it - i personally dont believe this - if the chassis was an issue, they'd have just stiffened it up - i mean, if track day enthusiasts dont mind welding their chassis etc to stiffen it up - surely this would have been no big deal to Lotus if they wanted to create a limited edition.

Wasnt the lotus story originated from a silver nova in a some magazine as a feature car saying it was styled/tuned/washed/looked at in passing by lotus?
Im probably wrong but im sure a similar thread resulted in the photos being posted up, i think DI4BLO means that Vaux didnt produce a factory 2.0, but im jus guessing lol!!!

Is that an offer or mearly an observation :D

Personally i find it strange he missed the v6 and twin engined novas from his little insight into the world of the little hot hatch, but i'm not going to mention it, he's only 14 and had a good stab at it, irrespective of the fact that about 2% is accurate and the rest is a wonderous attempt at fiction.
