right, as my dials are fubar, i bought a autoguages tachometer.

i went to fit and the instructions say to wire the red to live, black to earth, yellow to ignition/lights and green to coil.

but it says to fit to the negative, but the normal green wire that goes into back of the dials to the tacho comes from the positive of the coil...

do i run it from the positive or negative?

thanks all

chris

Run it of the Green wire its is a pulsated Negative! make sure the gauge is set to 4cyl before you turn it on!!

so run the green off the autogauges tacho to the negative of the coil?

On the back off your dash clocks there will be a green wire thats the one you need to join the green wire on the tacho meter too!!
