i fitted a new nearside handbrake cable back in april and had to re-use the clip which holds the grommit type bit inside the hole in the drum.

i wondered why my hanbrake had suddenly got loads of travel on it the other day, had a look and the brommit bit is broken and so is the clip...

bought a new cable, but doesnt come with a clip and the motorfactors dont do them.

is it a vaux job? and what is it called?

anyone know why it should brake like that?

cheers
chris

Just go to your local motor factors with one of the cables and ask them for a circlip to fit it. If they dont know what youre talking about, they have no place selling parts for cars

those clips get reused all the time so are bound to give up at some point
