Hi all,

Just need to pick the collective brain/knowledge out there .....

I want to monitor the air temperatures of the air entering and exiting my intercooler via a couple of LCD type monitors I can install in the dash/centre console.

Anyone know where I can get some sensors and the display units - I'm unsure of the temperatures you will get out of a turbo but I suspect it would be quite hot so need to have a high max temp reading.

Anybody also got any ideas how the probes could be inserted into the airflow???

Cheers

Joff

id say the range needs to be -40 - +150 degrees C (thats the kind of range we work with for ACT in our ECU's at work.

if you get an LCD driver that can use a K type thermo couple then you can simply get two bosses welded to the inlet and outlet pipes and fit the TC's with them sticking in to the centre of the pipe. they will offer naff all resistance to flow. we used to have them in exhausts for CAT testing.

is that even going to have a fast enough response time luke?

ie if you go over temp fast will it be able to tell you quick enough so that you get off the throttle etc
