finally done the transplant!! my Sr engine had to go n was replaced with a 1.4 astra lump with 1600 inlet(i think) n carb. didnt take any pics as i didnt want to get my camera oily n grubby.

anyways im havin troubles with over heating, boiling water erupting out of the header tank suggests a blockage to me. ive also so broken the matrix which doenst help so maybe ive bypassed that wrong somehow??

changes the fan switch on the bottom of the rad as the fan wasnt workin, it still doesnt work but i think thats because the engine heats up too quick n doesnt give the fan a chance to kick in.

somebody please come round sort it as i hate not havin a bloody car!!!

thanks for your help

My nova over heated, head gasket went, was driven home about 90 miles like it, step mum drove it to see her sister (another 35 miles of terrible driving!) then head went. Bad news:( several hundrad pounds later the problem is solved. Hope it dont do that far with you dude! Nip it in the bud
