problem....please help

my sri splutters wen the revs build up from 1.5-2.5 rpm then clears up and pulls hard but why does it do it? i have asked the owner before (my mate) and there isnt a rally/sport cam on it or nothing...any ideas?

take the dizzy off and double check there should be a letter stamped on the end of the cam think it shold be F wats in the sri wats the idle like

idles fine....i think it may be the exhaust its got a gsi 1600 pipe, 2 sliencers on and cherrybomb.

says that in the manual but always it turn out to be B cam D is in the astra carb model

back to the subject i put an sr exaust on a 1.2 with no silencers just a back box, i admit i was stupid them days but hav a look at wat cam is in ures mate but before u take the dizzy off mark it up from were it came off]

My GTE cam is code D.
B is a 1300sr cam.

The astra engine probably shares the same cam.

No doubt it. If its a dizy engine check your rotor arm & cap (when were they last changed?) & your spark plugs, gapped to .8mm? Check the leads for any arcing (black sooty deposits at either ends)

Any leaks in the induction tract (trunking upto throttle).

Fuel filter new?

Millions of things to check tbh. Sounds electrical/ignition to me though.

Does it have a distributor, if so, check the ignition timing.
