hi all.
i was wondering if i can do a swap for swap, and fit a nova E16SE into my nova gte.
will the engines just swap over? and use all the gte loom and injection system etc?
thanks all

sounds daft but gte isnt injection so how do you plan on using the gte loom without modifying it? i might be wrong here. either way tho its easy to add to the loom if necessary.

gte is injection.
Think most of it would be simple

They Are Both Injection.
I Just Wondered Whther The Gte Dizzy And Loom Would Fit The Se Engine...
Cheers
GTE engine is a E16se....
If you get a E16se from a nova GSI, then most things should plug straight in.
Dont know if there with any loom changes on the early e16se tho compared to the later one.
early e16's had the bosh ecu where as later ones had the siemens stuff so ecu's wont swap but you could just use your original loom :thumb:
yea, sounds like a plug and play job, if you get (or have) an early GSi engine it is the same a the GTE, its only the later ones with a coilpack and some other bits.

Loom will need to be from the same engine. Bosch/GTE had one less sensor than the Siemens/GSi.
Bosch/GTE had one less sensor than the Siemens/GSi.
Lambda (sp) sensor?
GTE never had a cat right?
Neither management versions had a lambda sensor.
Only the CAT equipped engines.

Correct.. although upon fitting my sportex manifold and mongoose system I discovered that some plum had fitted a cat in the original gte stuff.

All I Know, Is That It's A E16se... Mines The Bosch System. I Will Enquire As To Whether It Ran A Coil Pack, As Mine Diesn't. However, Surely With My Injection System It Will Still Drop In.
I'm Just Not Sure If There Is An Sensors That Are/aren't On One But Are On The Other.
Thanks For All The Advice Guys

Use the loom that should be on the engine.
The GSi Siemens engine uses an oil pressure sensor as opposed to the switch on the Bosch/GTE. I also found a GTE AFM wouldnt work on my GSi when I tried although they are visually identical.
There is another sensor on the GSi that is a dummy on the GTE too.
The C16SE has Rochester Multec management, with a dispack. Not compatible with either of the above.
