About time i posted some pictures up of my new everyday work horse. Owned the car just over a month and i have mostly cleaned, replaced and painted some of the bits i wasnt happy with. I also added some bits and bobs to make it my own. New bits include manta 400 mirrors, custom tinted clear back lights and the polished roll cage.

Those rear lights look awesome, it's good to see such a clean GTE or even a mk1.

Next up is to put my heat wrapped 4 branch on and get a full stainless exhaust made up. Really want to change the wheels aswell, cav gsi's have been done to death i was thinking along the lines of these maybe in antracite

Hmmmmm, iirc only made VX fit for a ltd time in 6x14" et49mm with the old oz logo on them.

Are those later 15" ones, et38mm in 7x15" Golf fitting?

Most of the OZ ones kicking round are 6x15 but these foul on the steering iirc.

Cheers for the comments, I prefer the mk2 looks but i also like the fact mk1's are rare in this condition, so its growing on me

The wheels pictured are off a pulsar, was just so you get the idea, i will have a set in the near future though :D

i bought it off a guy that bought of ebay i think, he took engine out ready to put a valva engine in and realised how ****ed it was, so i bought it as breaker
