Astra 1.4 carb engine

i can get hold of a mint one out of a grandads motor never ragged i hope are they any good have been told there are the same as the nova 1.4 in everyway will it fit and how much should i pay gearbox n everyfing else needed?? cheers mark

thats what i wanted to hear but yer its gonna be stripeed right down new everything so don't realy need to worrie bout the head gasket!!

Just have at the engine code on the block to make sure.
And tbh, there worth about ?50 imo.
