View Full Version : GTE and wat i thought was a GTE

Right because im going backto a GTE kit ive been looking at GTE's to get an idea of how it will look!

And i keep seeing that most GTE rear bumpers have the bit at the bottom sticking out, shown below (black bit i mean)

But my old 1.2 had wat i thort was a GTE rear, shown below

Is that a GTE one still or wat, i want one with the bit that sticks out ideally

The one with the bit that sticks up is a GTE bumper.

I have one for sale that has a little damage but easily repairable.

Wat is the one on my old 1.2 then ?

Any pics of ur GTE rear, wats the damage like? bumpers will be resprayed anyway?

The blue one is a std Mk1 bumper, non-GTE/SR.

IIRC, the SR had a lip similar to the GTE but slightly less pronounced?

One you have is a phase 2 (mk1) rear bumper with the crease line i where the GTE flick/valance is clipped on. Before E reg the rear bumper was the same shape but more curvy underneath & without the crease line.

That REd one in the top pic looks refreshingly nice.

2nd glance shows its actually funked. fr camber & dented side. oops.

yes, but there exspensive to buy brand new so just cheaper to buy a second hand GTE bumper.
