due to be fitting my XE soon, just in the process of building ti all up.
as im at this stage, im considering what to do when i get used to/bored of standard XE power, so the question is, which carbs will be better suited to the XE
45's or 48's? and coupled with a piper cam, how much of an increase in power am i looking at?:thumb:
id consider a throttle body kit .
Or is that not what u had in mind ?
throttle bodies are damm expensive tho !!
from bits ive been reading on the subject t48s are better suited, i think
i pretty sure ive decided on t48s, lairy cam, headwork, lighened/balanced bottom end
unless i find a couple of grand under the settee
45's are plenty nath and i no of some for sale if you want them now lol

visit www.sbdev.co.uk (http://www.sbdev.co.uk) and their site will tell you all you need to know. I would definately save your pennies and go for tb though.

45's your looking at about ?500ish for a set in good nick (with inlet etc) then youve got the comedy of getting a dizzy setup for it, and finally the cost of a PROPER RR setup (and if you dont go for that then you might as well have left the std injectiong on)
im with the others though, TB's are the future...
I think Rob77 has a set of 45s, and inlet for Xe for sale.
stu has a set for sale at the min with inlet etc etc pm him but hes in iraq untill tommorrow i think
indeed i do riggy! well said matey, nice one!!
Got a set of twin 45s, need a good clean, inlet manifold, needs a helicoil(5-10 quid max), coscast head with vac advance dissy too
