If i bought some -40mm springs that were meant for a nova GSi, and then put them on a mk1 1.2L...would the 1.2 mk1 have the same right height as a GSi that had been lowered -40mm? or would the mk1 1.2 still be 25mm higher (or whatever it is)?

Sounds a bit confusing but read it slow and you'll get what i mean...

40mm springs for a GSi will make all novas 40mm lower than a GSi that hasn't been lowered (less the 40 or so extra kgs that the GSi has)

It would be the equivilent of dropping your car 60 od mm, so you may have problems with losing rear springs (if the gsi damper rods are shorter than normal novas, can`t see that happening though)
