astra gte engine removel help?

hi just wondered if anyone can help me im wanting to remove the astra engine out to fit in my nova just wanted to know if i should know anything when removing thanks ian

get a haynes manual perhaps.

It should be obvious with a little mechanical knowledge & the right tools.

Remove the lower suspension etc (ball joints), take off exhaust manifold/downpipe, release the shafts out of the hubs, remove all hoses & wires, disconnect gear linkage, drop out engine & box on a decent trolley jack with the car supported as high as possible.

Slide it out from underneath.

just be carefull not to trap or break any of the gte engine loom like the plastic plug fittings etc,as craig said above follow that to the tee and you should be sweet. a quickee tho,might aswell just drop the shafts out the box cuz you cant use them on the nova anyway.:-)
