You could bolt it upto an F13 if you wanted. Then you can keep the existing shafts & mounts.
You will need a 1.6 GTE flywheel & clutch IIRC. Otherwise an F16 or F20 with big block conversion shafts & mount mods.

is that what you would get in a gte or gsi my car is a 14sr what boxe do you think will have in it, craig what is a IIRC
but the effort with swapping flywheels/clutches and all that crap jsut to save a little time/money getting the right shafts for the bigblock conversion....

i have be told i can use a 1.5 diesel box and shafts off a corsa and that would do me, but what type of shafts would i get for the bigblock conversion.

cheap way people go for is 22 splined shafts, found on nova gte/gsi/some turbo diesels. ul find the ends u need to be 22 spline is the gear box end and use cav mk2 inner cv's try this site www.chrisashleymotorsport.co.uk

in my opinion using a small block box is such a rough **** way of trying not to do the shafts, just do as above and use the one that comes with the engine which will probably be a f16
