I just wanna be 100% sure cus i wanna sell the lot including my spare but unsure cus i might need my spare (even though its extra weight) if i have an accident:confused: so dont know what to do

They should fit with worn pads, mine wouldn't fit with new discs/pads tho.

I have a black Sr steelie as a spare, if i get a punctuare i guess i'll have to swap alloy from the rear onto front to clear the brakes, and then steelie onto the rear,Lol.

iam facing the same prob with my sport, got two litre brake set up, but want to keep the original wheel trims, which took bloody ages to get, so what the best solusion, can you just grind down the calliper ? help !

I would of thought you'd have to grind a couple of mm off the calipers.

i took a grinder to the caliper and never had a problem with them

You need 14" steels off a Cav. 5.5J x 14"

Nova steels & alloys are 5J wide. No good.

as long as they are the 14 inch steels its shouldnt be a problem, i personally have never had to grind the caliper away to fit them.

You could try gte/gsi brakes, 236mm vented discs with ATE calipers.
Will fit under 13s etc.

The skinny 4.5J x 13s, don't fit over GSi brakes (236x20mm) as I have tried to fit a set as temporary measures while I spray my Cavalier steelies. The inside of the wheel fouled the caliper! So the spare I'm carrying round is fairly useless!!

14" steels will clear the GSI 236x20mm brakes.

just carry the 14 inch spare - if you get a flat on the front swap a large rim off the back to the front and fit the spare to rear.
