What would be involved in changing my 1400 to a 1600? It will run on carbs so the injection system doesnt matter etc...

I was wondering if i could use a 1600 bottom end n box etc, plus whatever else would be required, and if at all possible use my top end, which is a 1300, though i would probably be better using the 1600 top end as bigger valves etc, but would mean me buying a new inlet lol

Engines just a straight swap.
Keep your 1400sr dizzy,coil,module.

Bolt the 40s on, keep with the MPI head tho! Should be able flog your inlet quite easily. Fit your piper cam to the 1600 cam carrier.
Sorted.

And remember your carbs will need setting up again.

So basically use an entire GTE engine but my ignition system etc. Will my F10 box fit or is it best to just use F13 that comes with the 1600

Also what happens to the loom side of things, and ecu, as ill be using carbs
