What a rip off! Personall as its so tidy i would pay 800 ish tops, seeing as nova saloon 3 doors are getting harder to find, any nova in this condition i would say is getting hard to find! But for the buy it now price you could get a nice xe or maybe even a c20let!

I can t beleive the amount of 'its only a poverty spec 1.0' ****e.... you guys are fcuking blind or stupid... a MINT nova shell is like rocking horse poo. you will not get a minter shell than that without spending hundreds of pounds on welding, primer and respray and 100s of hours of work.
That is a MINT project in waiting. yes the BIN price is a little excessive, but the starting price with No reserve is more than reaslistic.

As for the saloon... I wouldn't assume its really mint unless I could see all in and round it. Even then I still wouldn't pay top whack for it. Both my novas have required welding for MOTs which has cost <?50 for each, or I could have done myself for free if I had a welder to hand at the time. So in my personal view, a "mint" Nova holds no additional value to me than one that requires minor work. Also, "Long" tax & MOT IMO = 10+ months, Feb is only 6 months so i wouldn't describe that as long.

For ?1000 I'd expect an excellent condition GTE/GSi, for ?1750 I'd expect an excellent condition XE. You could even get a lot of other cars for that money. I'd pay ?500 max for that tbh... maybe a little more if it was a 1.2 and Mexico Red :D... but I'm sure someone will be willing to pay that money for it and consider it a bargain.

Exactly the same as me in that respect Jack.
Its the same sort of story with the black 2 door saloon I was after.
I offered him a base of ?300 plus said I'd pay for the mot it was having and still offered room for a little more negotiation... He just said no.. wouldnt even tell me how much he was looking for.

It'l be as hassle free as you can get. Rip everything out, Stick a nice engine in it. And then no-need to worry about it.
