use a bit of scafolt tube slide it iver the column and few sharp hard smacks with a big hammer and they usualy pop of failing that put the nut on the shaft untill the shaft is flush with the nut if ur right handed sit back and pull hard on the steering wheel with ur left hand and shock the shaft with a hammer always seems 2 do the trick

Smack it from behind with a massive hammer, who gives a c**p if you wreck the steering column, as the cars in a scrappy :) Lol

yep, get a big 'persuation stick' and a 3/4 inch extension bar.

put the nut back on slightly and whack fook out of the extension onto the column (fook the column? Who cares?).

failing that, grab the wheel (hands at quarter to 3) and rock it side to side (careful not to bend the wheel as i did that once to exactly the same kind of wheel)

some call this stress relief so enjoy it!

undo the nut put leave it on a few threads, put your legs behide the wheel and then **** the nut with a hammer. Repeat until it comes off.
