idle problem

one of my pals nova wont tick over when cold. After about 4 minutes it is fine. Also missfires come now and again. The air flow meter, plugs, coil etc has all been changed. Also been at few garages and they cant find the problem. It is a 2.0 redtop! Thanks

try cleaning or changing the idle control valve! they are **** on the redtops i have had trouble with mine in the past! but usualy it is jumpy at 2k revs and runs at 1500 rpm on idle when mine packs up! i remember on my 1400 sri nova the head gasket was going and it started missfiring in mornings then it went completely!
