Central looking

Hi i have a Mk1 1.3 SR that i have had for about 2 months now. Since i have owned the car the central looking hasn't worked. I had a quick look at it the other day and carn't seem to see anything wrong with it (saying that i am not a auto electrtion). I was just wondering if there is a comon fault on the locking.

I would be thankful of any help

Check the fuse first.. use a haynes manual.

The solenoid went on mine so you "borrow" one from a scrappy to use as a test. Unplug yours, plug the new one in and test the central locking.... after that I guess your into electrical testing

phil man didnt know you had registered on here!!
check the fuses first, check no wires are cut. i had it on my first nova and found it to be a cut wire trapped in the door.

I have look at the wires in the door and they seem to be ok as is the fuse. I will try the solenoid next and hopefully that will work cheers dudes :)
